Rajganj 14th May: A shop was damaged after a thunderstorm lashed the Sahudangi market of Rajganj, on Friday afternoon.
According to local sources, an old tree fell off, damaging a shop in the Sahudangi market in Rajganj due to a strong thunderstorm. Traffic was disrupted for nearly two hours on the Siliguri-Ambari state road caused by the toppled tree. Following the incident, the electricity supply came to standstill in the area.
Krishna Roy, the owner of the damaged shop, said that all the items of the shop were destroyed and a loss of nearly lakhs of rupees is caused.
