Siliguri, 23rd January: Bagdogra police have arrested a person with brown sugar. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Tamanna, a resident of Jhankar More, Siliguri.
Reportedly, the accused had come to the Rangapani area of Bagdogra for smuggling brown sugar. Based on information received from secret sources, Bagdogra Police and SOG arrested Mohammad Tamanna with 306 grams of brown sugar by running a joint operation.
The market value of the recovered brown sugar has been estimated at Rs 60 lakh. The accused will be produced in the Siliguri Divisional Court on Tuesday.
