Siliguri, 03rd October: In a significant breakthrough, police apprehended an individual on charges of vehicle theft. The accused has been identified as Aamir Khan, a driver by profession. Sources revealed that the accused was on his way to Bihar with the intention to traffic the pick-up van stolen from Guwahati.
According to reports, on Monday night, NJP (New Jalpaiguri) police launched a tip-off operation in the Toll Gate area of Fulbari adjacent to Siliguri and halted the vehicle. Upon interrogation, the accused could not provide any valid documents of the vehicle. Following this, the police took custody of the vehicle and arrested Aamir. On Tuesday, the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri District court for legal proceedings.
