Siliguri, 09th August: A person, identified as Biswanath Das has been arrested for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old. The victim is reportedly a resident of the Siliguri Shantipara area.
As per the report, the minor went missing on August 04 but returned home the next day.
After the girl made allegations of sexual assault against Bishwanath Das, a resident of the same area, a complaint was lodged at the NJP police station.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused on Saturday. He was produced before the Jalpaiguri court today.
