Phansidewa, 18th November: A person has been arrested along with 11 animals at Chathat on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Reportedly, after receiving information about the smuggling of cattle in a pick-up van late Thursday night, the police reached the spot and arrested a person.
The accused has been identified as Sandeep Bara, a resident of Toofandangi in Phansidewa. He was produced in the Siliguri court today. The police of Phansidewa police station have started probing into the entire incident.
