Siliguri, 10th August: Hundreds of nursing staff staged a protest today in support of various demands outside a private nursing home in Matigara, on Monday. Several patients faced difficulties due to the demonstration.
The protestors alleged that the nursing staff attending COVID-19 patients are not being sent to home quarantine post duty. As a result, they protested against the authorities with ten-point demands.
The nursing staff did not return to work as no assurance was given to them even after holding a discussion with the authorities till noon.
