Siliguri, 28th March: The nationwide strike called by the central trade union on March 28 and 29 drew no impact in the city. Although some shops were closed, traffic movement was normal. Auto, Toto, and bus services were also regular since morning.
On the other hand, police were deployed in different parts of the city to prevent any untoward incident.
