Siliguri, 04th August: NJP Traffic Guard organised a Road Safety Week awareness drive near Railway Hospital More in Siliguri on Tuesday with the participation of school students to promote road safety and traffic rule awareness.
The initiative aimed to increase awareness among the public about the importance of following traffic regulations.
During the drive, two-wheeler riders without helmets and four-wheeler drivers not wearing seat belts were stopped. They were greeted with khadas, presented with roses and offered sweets while being encouraged to follow traffic rules.
Government vehicles were also stopped during the programme and their drivers were similarly welcomed with khadas and flowers before being reminded to adhere to traffic regulations.
ACP Traffic Chandan Das and other personnel of NJP Traffic Guard were present during the awareness programme.
