Siliguri, 27th September: NJP Police, based on a tip-off, raided the Fulbari Gathmabari area on Sunday night and detained a vehicle. After searching, around 43 kilos of cannabis, estimated to be around Rs 5 lakh, were recovered. Two persons were taken into custody. The arrested accused have been identified as Ranjit Kumar, a resident of Bihar, and Motilal Gawla, a resident of Tripura.
According to police sources, the cannabis was being transported from Agartala to Bihar in a vehicle with Jharkhand’s registered number.
