Siliguri, 20th June: Police arrested three miscreants before the robbery, while 12 others managed to escape. The arrested have been identified as Subir Prasad, Krishna Roy and Sujeet Das.
As per the report, 15 crooks gathered in the Noukaghat Hanuman Mandir area with the intention of loot. Acting on a tip-off, the NJP Police team in plain clothes, conducted an operation in the area. While 12 out of the 15 miscreants fled away from the scene, the police caught 3.
According to sources, police recovered various tools used during robberies from the arrested. The three accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court, today. The NJP police are investigating into the matter.
