Siliguri, 27th September: NJP Police arrested two people on charges of stealing mobile phones. The accused have been identified as Amit Biswas and Karthik Dey. According to police sources, the duo was involved in several mobile robbery incidents in different parts of the city for a long time.
It is to recall, a woman’s mobile phone was stolen in Laketown in February. A complaint was lodged at the NJP police station in this regard.
Based on the complaint, police investigated the incident and arrested the said two persons on Saturday. Police have recovered several mobile phones in their possession. The accused were produced in the Jalpaiguri court today.
