Siliguri, 05th December: Under the aegis of the Kathiar division a Night Service had commenced attracting more tourists and people to the toy train. But with a lack of influx of passengers, the said service has come to a halt and is currently closed.
DRM SK Chowdhary of Katihar Division said that with the upcoming festival of Christmas and New Year and keeping in view the attraction of tourists and travellers, the said night safari service will resume from NJP to Rongtong or from NJP to Sukna as per the demand.
General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway, Anshul Gupta said that by the year 2024, the NJP railway station will be renovated. Along with this, illegal encroachment settlement will also be vacated under the legal process.
