New Vista Dome Tourist Special Train to be launched in Siliguri

Siliguri, 26th August: Vista Dome Tourist Special Train will be launched from Siliguri on Saturday. The railway officials, on Thursday, held a press conference at NJP station in the presence of Alipurduar DRM and Katihar Division DRM.


Reportedly, the train will run from NJP station to Alipurduar station on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every week. The train has a stoppage at several stations in between.

The railway officials said that the train will halt at Chalsa and Hasimara, where cultural programmes will be held. Apart from Vista Dome coaches, the train has AC and non-AC chairs. There are a total of 44 seats in the Vista Dome coach. Passengers can enjoy the beauty of the forest through the windows of the Vista dome coaches. Tourists and passengers can also buy food from IRCTC.


Meanwhile, the booking for the next two weeks has become full. About 50 percent of seats have been booked for subsequent trips as well. Railway officials said that the first Vista dome coach tourist special train will be launched on Saturday.
