12th August, Siliguri: Joy Tudu has been appointed as the new DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) replacing Nima Norbu Bhutia from East Zone of Metropolitan Police. Nima Norbu Bhutia has been transferred to CO, SAP 11th Battalion.
On the other hand, the current Inspector-in-charge (IC) of Pradhannagar police station Biswajit Ghoshal has also been transferred to Rampurhat in Birbhum for the post of Court Inspector. IC of Cyber Crime Branch Shubhashish Chaki will take charge as the new IC of Pradhannagar Police Station.
Reportedly, the instructions have been issued by the State Home Ministry.
