Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 123rd birth anniversary was celebrated in various districts of North Bengal. It was also celebrated by the Cooch Behar district administration by paying homage to the portrait of Netaji.
On the other hand, a procession was also organized in the city under the initiative of the Cooch Behar District Inter-School Netaji Celebration Committee and the leadership of Cooch Behar Sri Hindi School. The BJP state president Dilip Ghosh celebrated the 123rd birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at Buxa Fort in Alipurduar today. Besides, with the initiative of the District and Municipal Youth Welfare Office, Sports Office and District Information Culture Office, Subhash festival was held.
The day was also celebrated in the Jalpaiguri district with great enthusiasm. Jalpaiguri municipality chairman Mohan Basu hoisted the national flag and paid homage to the statue of Netaji. Besides, all the Councillors, workers and the students of different schools held a procession.
