Siliguri, 04th March: During a press conference, on Wednesday, the Darjeeling District Nationalist Congress President Faizal Ahmed informed that the Nationalist Congress Party will be fielding its candidate in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation election. He stated that if the Trinamool Congress provides a respectable number of seats, then they will field their candidates in support of TMC.
He further stated that he is ready to form an alliance to stop BJP. He also stated that Congress leaders in North Bengal do not want the Nationalist Congress Party to emerge as an organized party in North Bengal.
Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party wants that the TMC to win the Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections. Ahmed further stated that the Nationalist Congress Party will do everything possible to support the Trinamool Congress.
