Maynaguri, 19th August: Police have been accused of obstructing Narayani Sena on its way to Jalpesh Mandir in Maynaguri.
Reportedly, the Narayani Sena was supposed to go to Jalpesh Mandir through a rally with Union Minister Nishith Pramanik in Maynaguri on Thursday morning. Accordingly, the Narayani Sena members and BJP workers started gathering at Dharamshala in Maynaguri. It has been alleged that they were stopped by the police as soon as they left for Jalpesh.
According to police sources, the Narayani Sena were detained as they took to the streets in defiance of COVID safety measures. The incident also sparked a scuffle between the police and the Narayani Sena.
