Siliguri, 21st February: The mysterious death of a 15-year-old found hanging from the noose has come to light. The deceased has been identified as Shubhojit Rudro (15), an eighth-grade student of a government school in Matigara.
According to reports, on Tuesday, the officials of Matigara police station recovered the deceased body of a minor found hanging from a tree within the boundary wall of vacant land in the area adjoining Pramod Nagar in Siliguri. Meanwhile, the father of the deceased asserted that his son was willing to join the Indian army and hence could not commit suicide while alleging that his son was murdered.
At the same time, locals claimed that the body was recovered from an area considered as the hotspot for drug addicts. They further added their speculations of Shubhojit witnessing something that prompted someone to murder him. On the other hand, eyewitnesses claimed that the feet of the deceased were touching the ground when hung which defies the fact that he committed suicide.
