Siliguri, 30th November: A stir arose after an incident of the mysterious death of a married couple surfaced from the area of Subhas Pally of Ward No. 18.
Reportedly, the body of the husband was found on the bed and the wife’s body was found on the floor. But the cause of their death remains a mystery. The deceased have been identified as Ujjwal Kumar Sinha and Devlina Sarkar Sinha.
According to the information, Ujjwal was living in his in-law’s house after marriage. He was a private tutor by profession. Whereas, Devlina Devi was an art teacher. He used to leave the house by 11 am every day. The family members got suspicious when he did not come out today. On not getting any response, the family members broke open the door. There they found the dead bodies of Devlina Devi and Ujjwal Sinha with blood coming out of his mouth.
The family members informed the Siliguri police station. Acting promptly the police reached the spot and recovered both bodies. However, it has not been ascertained yet if it is a case of murder or a suicide. On the other hand, the councilor of the ward Sanjay Sharma also reached the area to take stock.
