Mumbai Contractor accused of killing Cooch Behar laborer

Cooch Behar, 12th March: The news of the death of a laborer, identified as Abdul Satar (37), has come to light. Abdul, who was a resident of the Kalabagan area of ​​Cooch Behar, was reportedly working as a Raj Mistri (expert mason) in Mumbai. Abdul’s body has been recovered from a railway station in Madhya Pradesh.


The family members alleged that Abdul Satar used to work as a Raj Mistri in Mumbai under the leadership of a contractor from Cooch Behar. However, Abdul received no salary despite working in Mumbai. When Abdul decided to quit, he was threatened by the contractor. Nevertheless, Abdul got into a train from the Tilak Nagar railway station in Mumbai. However, when the train reached Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday, some youths, on the train, misbehaved with him. Abdul got off the train and informed his family members who further informed the local police and the Railway Police about the incident.

However, the Madhya Pradesh Railway Police informed the family members that Abdul’s body was recovered, on Monday morning. An atmosphere of grief engulfed Cooch Behar after the arrival of Abdul’s body. The family members have alleged that the said contractor is involved in Abdul’s death. The police are further investigating the entire case.\
