Siliguri, 04th January: The whole country is in panic due to the increasing number of COVID cases. Medical workers are being infected in different hospitals of the state.
A total of 25 people, including health workers, junior doctors, nurses, and officials of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, have been infected with the virus. The medical college authorities have already held an emergency meeting regarding the matter.
Dr. Sanjay Mallick, superintendent of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, said there is nothing to panic about. There is a need to increase the awareness of the people. If the number of patients increases, there may be problems with the number of beds. Work will be done following the guidelines of the government.
