MP Raju Bista handed over Rs 5,000 to the fire-affected families of Ward No. 18

Siliguri, 02nd December: A few days ago, a terrible fire incident in Ward No. 18 Khudiram Colony area burnt 50 houses into ashes making several residents homeless. Today, BJP MP Raju Bista visited the area and extended a helping hand to the victimized families.


On reaching his parliamentary constituency from Delhi, MP Raju Bista reached the Khudiram Colony fire-affected area this evening. where he met the victims’ families. After this, financial assistance of five thousand rupees was provided to the victims’ families.

MP Raju Bista said that the SMC is demanding a lease for those living on the railway land after the fire incident. Taking a jibe against the opposition he stated that when CM Mamata Banerjee, Mukul Roy, and Dinesh Trivedi were Railway Ministers, then the matter of issuing leases to those living on railway land was not remembered. He further alleged TMC of politically playing games with the sentiments of the people even in a dire time of need.
