MP Raju Bista and John Barla visit various tea gardens in Terai

Naxalbari, 16th October: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista and Alipurduar MP John Barla visited various tea gardens in Terai including Ord, Tirana, Marapur, Belgachi, Manjha, MM Terai, Jabda, Hattighisa, today. Uma Shankar Dubey, Secretary, Walkers Union Central Committee, Block President James Khalak, Secretary Rama Shankar Chaudhary and other activists were present.


While speaking to the garden workers and common people, MP Bista claimed that the tea gardens will be remoulded once the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government comes to power in Bengal.

He said that after the 2021 assembly elections, the ‘black policy’ of Trinamool Congress in Bengal will come to an end and the people of Bengal will get justice. Bista further accused state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of acting against the welfare of the people by not implementing various beneficial projects of Centre in West Bengal.


Furthermore, Alipurduar MP John Barla also accused the Bengal government of not allowing him to work and fulfil his duty as an MP.

Meanwhile, during Bista’s visit, people from other political parties protested against the MP by waving black flags in Ord and Belgachi tea gardens today.
