Motorcycle squad introduced by traffic unit of Darjeeling Police

The traffic unit of Darjeeling District Police took an initiative by launching a motorcycle squad of 27 bikes with the intent to reduce traffic jams and maintain traffic rules, especially during tourist seasons due to increased footfall. 
Reportedly, each policeman will be equipped with GPS, loud hailers, and walkie-talkies. Two traffic policemen will share one motorbike. On Tuesday, the squad was flagged off from the Town Police Office Complex in Darjeeling.
