Siliguri, 14th August: More than 500 people left Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the Trinamool Congress through a programme that was organized near the NJP station area, on Friday.
Looking ahead to the upcoming elections, all the parties are taking various programmes intending to increase their party strength.
Darjeeling District TMC President Ranjan Sarkar, Labor leader Arup Ratan Bose, Prosenjit Roy, and many others handed over the party flag to the newcomers and welcomed them.
