Siliguri, 14th August: Mohun Bagan Day celebration was cancelled on July 29 due to the ongoing pandemic and lockdown. Instead, the day was celebrated on Friday on behalf of Siliguri Mariners Fans Club who handed out jerseys and balls to 12 football clubs at Siliguri’s Kanchenjunga Stadium.
Arun Majumder, Mohun Bagan’s representative North Bengal, stated that it is still unclear concerning the resumption of football matches. However, he advised all the players to do fitness exercises at home.
He further stated that Mohun Bagan has been associated with ATK of the Indian Super League (ISL) in Bengal. He hopes that they emerge as champions in the entire Bengal.
