Rajganj, 15th March: Dulal Dutta, the Mayor-in-council member of the water supply department of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, inspected the Fulbari Water Project, on Tuesday.
It is to be noted, drinking water is supplied to the city through the Fulbari water project in Rajganj. However, Fulbari-1 and Fulbari-2 gram panchayat areas are deprived of water. On the other hand, the citizens of Siliguri also face drinking water crises and various other problems.
Dulal Dutta inspected the drinking water project of Fulbari today. Following this, he said that a project of Rs. 446 crore will be launched in Gajoldoba to meet the water crisis. Besides, water will also be supplied to both the gram panchayat areas in Fulbari. He further appealed for the cooperation of the locals for the project.
