Rajganj, 21st May: Rajganj MLA Dinesh Sarkar and Dabgram-Fulbari MLA Sikha Chatterjee held a meeting with officials of various departments under the Rajganj block administration at the Rajganj BDO office on Thursday.
This was the first administrative meeting conducted by the two legislators at the office of the Block Development Officer after assuming responsibility and attending the administrative meeting at Uttar Kanya on Wednesday. At the beginning of the meeting, the two public representatives were felicitated with flower bouquets.
The meeting focused on developmental work in the area, transparent implementation of government schemes and delivery of public services. During the discussion, both MLAs gave a clear message that corruption of any kind would not be tolerated under the new government.
They further warned that strict administrative action would be taken against any official found involved in corruption or negligence in duty. The legislators also stated that allegations raised against former BDO Prashant Barman would be examined.
Meanwhile, Rajganj BDO Sourabh Kanti Mandal said the meeting was held as a courtesy interaction with the newly elected MLAs. He added that discussions were held on multiple administrative issues along with an introduction session involving officials of various departments.
