MLA Shankar Ghosh visits Siliguri District Hospital to check city’s dengue status

Siliguri, 24th September: Alleging the Siliguri Municipal Corporation for failing in protecting the city from the dengue outbreak, Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh reached Siliguri District Hospital to take stock of the dengue situation. He was accompanied by the Leader of the Opposition party of SMC Amit Jain, former councillor Nantu Paul, Kanhaiya Pathak and others. 


The MLA interacted with the relatives of the patients undergoing treatment for dengue. Later, while addressing the media, Ghosh said that the manner in which the outbreak of dengue is increasing is a matter of concern. He alleged that the SMC has no plan against dengue and that they are busy organizing carnivals. On the other hand, Mayor Goutam Deb refused to give any response to the MLA’s accusations.
