Jalpaiguri, 10th May: Two-month’s pension of Rs 61,000 was illegally withdrawn from the bank account of retired power department official Majibar Rahman. Following the incident, a written complaint was lodged with the Cyber Department of Jalpaiguri Kotwali police station. In regard to this, the police have started investigating the incident.
As per Majibar Rahman, he had lost the ATM card for a while and had found it later. He demanded a proper investigation into the incident. Residents of Jalpaiguri have questioned the safety of keeping money in the banks.
