Bagdogra, 9th June: Sensation prevailed in the area after the lifeless body of a minor girl of 9th standard was found hanging from the noose in Lalbasti of Upper Bagdogra. The deceased has been identified as Komal Chowdhury (14).
According to reports, this afternoon, upon being called by the family members for lunch, there was no response from the girl. Subsequently, they broke open the door and discovered the minor girl hanging from the noose.
Subsequently, the matter was informed to Bagdogra Police Station. Upon receiving the news, the Bagdogra police reached the spot and recovered the deceased body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, police are investigating the incident.
