Rajganj, 01st April: Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (I/C) Prahlad Singh Patel offered prayers at the Devi Choudhurani Mandir in Rajganj. He was accompanied by Jalpaiguri Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) MP Dr Jayanta Kumar Roy, Rajganj assembly BJP candidate Supen Roy and other leaders of the area.
Apart from offering puja, the Union Minister also campaigned along with BJP candidate Supen Roy at Belakoba Bazar.
Addressing the media, Prahlad Singh Patel stated that the Devi Choudhurani Mandir in Shikarpur is a holy land. The families who have been worshipping in this temple for generations deserve to be honoured. The temple should also be sanctioned as a holy land. He further said that after the election, efforts will be made to maintain the required standards of the temple.
