Siliguri, 09th August: State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb inspected the safe home which has been newly constructed at Siliguri’s Indoor Stadium.
It is to be noted that a few days ago, the administration decided to set up a safe house in the stadium premises which initially sparked objection, however, the construction was later carried out smoothly.
While the administration initially announced that a 100-bedded safe home will be built in the said location, Minister Goutam Deb informed that a 70-bedded safe home is being built as of now. If necessary, another safe home will be built elsewhere, he added.
He further said that the safe home is likely to be open for service soon and preparations are being carried out in full swing.
