Siliguri, 10th June: Under the Krishak Bandhu scheme, Minister Goutam Deb handed over a cheque of 2 lakh rupees to the family members of a farmer, who lost his life recently following a heart ailment.
Amrit Chandra Singh, a farmer from the Shiv Mandir area, died of a heart attack last January. The mourning family had appealed to the State Government for help.
In response to the request, the Minister stepped forward and handed over a cheque of 2 lakh rupees to the deceased’s wife Malti Sinha.
