Mess service of North Bengal University hostel resumes amid continuous protests from students 

Siliguri, 17th March: After two days of continuous student uproar, the mess service of the North Bengal University’s hostel resumed back to normal. It is to be noted, that after the meeting of the Hostel Monitoring Committee on Thursday, the Committee of the University Management had given a written assurance to resume the mess service like before. 


After this, postponing the protest for the time being, the students of the university resumed their studies on Friday. However, the students said that the agitation would continue till the Vice-Chancellor is appointed and the hostel security is increased.

On the other hand, Hostel Supervisor Manoranjan Chowdhary of Ramakrishna Hall of Residence said that as per the decision of the Monitoring Committee the mess service has resumed to service and it will continue in the coming days.
