Memorandum submitted to Bhakti Nagar Police Station urging action against anti-social elements

Siliguri, 03rd May: Concerns over the deteriorating peace on Sevoke Road in Siliguri have prompted action from local political representatives. The presence of bars and pubs has led to an increase in disturbances, raising concerns about law and order in the area.


Reportedly, on Friday, BJP’s Mandal 8, along with Amit Jain, the opposition party leader of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC), met with the Inspector-in-Charge (IC) of Bhakti Nagar police station. They submitted a memorandum, urging attention to the issue and demanding action against the anti-social elements responsible for the disruptions.

In this regard, Amit Jain, highlighted the negative impact of pubs and bars on the atmosphere of Sevoke Road. He added that a memorandum has been submitted to the IC of Bhakti Nagar police station urging swift action to address the situation and restore peace in the area.
