Siliguri, 10th February: Mayor’s Cup volleyball tournament organized by Siliguri Municipal Corporation commenced today at Siliguri College ground.
Reportedly, 5 women’s teams and 5 men’s teams have participated in the said tournament. Out of the 10 teams, 8 teams have come from Kolkata. A total of 13 matches will be played in the said tournament, in which 7 referees are from Kolkata and 8 referees are from Siliguri.
The tournament started with the match of the women’s team Kalyan Parishad and Mogra Volleyball Academy, and the men’s team Chetla Agrani Club and GTSC team. The said tournament will run for the next two days till February 12. The winning team will be awarded a cash prize in the finale of the tournament.
