Siliguri, 25th July: In a proactive move to combat dengue, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb initiated an awareness campaign in Ward No. 33 on Thursday morning.
Reportedly, during his visit, the Mayor inspected various areas of the ward and identified multiple waterlogged plots of land and buildings under construction. In response, measures were promptly taken to remove stagnant water and spray mosquito repellent.
Mayor Deb warned that legal action would be taken against property owners who allow similar conditions to persist. Despite concerns, he clarified that Ward No. 33 is not currently affected by dengue, and no new larvae have been found.
