Siliguri, 21st November: In a significant breakthrough, the Matigara police station exposed the Nargis Didi gang involved in bike theft cases in Siliguri and successfully apprehended the mastermind of the gang along with her accomplice. The arrested mastermind has been identified as Nargis Khatoon alias ‘Didi’ and her accomplice Santosh Sahni. In addition, the police also recovered a stolen two-wheeler.
According to reports, on the occasion of Chhath Puja, a motorbike was stolen from Salbari Chhat Ghat, under the jurisdiction of the Matigara police station. Following this, a complaint was lodged at the said police station.
Upon investigating the matter, the police apprehended a person named Santosh Sahni. During the further course of interrogation, the name of Nargis Khatoon alias ‘Didi’ surfaced, who allegedly works as a dealer of stolen two-wheelers. Subsequently, on the basis of the statement given by Santosh, the police arrested the main accused Nargis. On Tuesday, both the accused were produced before the Siliguri Court. Currently, the police are engaged in a detailed investigation of the entire matter.
