Siliguri, 06th September: The Matigara police arrested one person along with 24 kgs of cannabis. The arrested accused has been identified as Raju Chhetri, a resident of the Aurobindo Pally area near NJP station.
According to police sources, the police launched operations at the Shiv Mandir Medical More area and successfully got hold of the accused.
The market value of the recovered cannabis has been estimated to be around one lakh rupees. The arrested individual was produced before the Siliguri court today.
The Matigara police have launched an investigation into the incident.
