Siliguri, 27th January: Sensation prevailed in the area after a massive fire broke out in a residence in Bibadi Sarani of Haidar Para under Ward No. 39 of Siliguri.
As per reports, on Saturday morning, the entire area was engulfed with black smoke. Immediately, the locals attempted to extinguish the fire. Simultaneously, the fire department was alerted about the incident.
Subsequently, a fire brigade engine arrived at the spot and took control of the prevailing situation. According to the fire department, the inferno might have been caused by a short circuit or a lamp kept in the temple of the residence. Sources revealed that a major portion of the household items were brought down to ashes.
