Siliguri, 13th February: A massive fire broke out late Wednesday night at Jalpai More in Siliguri, gutting five to six shops.
According to reports, the fire was caused by a short circuit. Local residents noticed the blaze and immediately informed the fire department. The fire intensified due to the presence of gas cylinders in one of the shops.
The affected shops include a fast-food outlet, a sweet shop, and a photo studio, resulting in losses worth several lakhs of rupees. Business owners have been clearing out the charred remains of their goods since this morning.
