Siliguri, 31st March: Panic gripped the premises of a hotel at Medical More as the body of a man was found hanging from a noose in the lavatory, leading to a commotion in the area. The deceased has been identified as Bablu Sarkar (50), a resident of Bhakti Nagar area. He worked as a waiter in another hotel.
It is reported that Bablu Sarkar was engaged in an extra marital affair with a woman from Naxalbari. Bablu Sarkar had arrived at the hotel with his lover. Subsequently, his body was found hanging from the lavatory.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police from Medical Outpost rushed to the scene and retrieved the body for post-mortem examination at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). The post-mortem has been scheduled for Monday. However, no complaint has been filed at the police station regarding the incident as of now. At present, the police have detained the woman for questioning as they investigate the entire incident.
