Siliguri, 22nd April: The film brought fleeting joy to the audience, but one moviegoer’s tragic fate cast a shadow of mourning over his household. Vishnu Singh, a resident of Ganga Nagar under Ward No. 05 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, went to a cinema hall under Siliguri police station to catch a film on Friday evening. However, just a few hours into the screening, Singh’s health began to deteriorate, and those seated nearby notified the cinema hall manager. Despite the manager’s efforts to revive Singh with water, his condition worsened, prompting the manager to call for police assistance.

Upon arrival, the police rushed Singh to Siliguri District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police subsequently retrieved Singh’s body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The incident sent shockwaves through the cinema hall, and many audience members left halfway through the film.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to piece together the events leading to Singh’s untimely passing. The incident serves as a stark reminder that even moments of entertainment can be fraught with danger and that life can be fragile and unpredictable.
