Siliguri, 24th July: The Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha of the BJP’s Siliguri Organisational District carried out a social and religious initiative on the occasion of Ulto Rath by distributing Tulsi saplings among people.
The sapling distribution programme was organised in front of the ISKCON Temple in Siliguri, where many people participated and collected Tulsi plants.
The programme was attended by SC Morcha President Manisha Sarkar along with other party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Manisha Sarkar said that distributing Tulsi saplings on Ulto Rath holds special significance. She stated that Tulsi is considered sacred in Hindu tradition and is regarded as a symbol of positivity and auspiciousness in households.
She also highlighted that such initiatives help spread awareness about environmental protection.
