Alipurduar, 08th November: A person was injured in a bison attack this morning in the Madarihat area under the Alipurduar district.
Reportedly, Ranjit Das, a resident of Pradhan Nagar in the Madarihat area, had gone to defecate in the bush beside the National Highway this morning. During this, a bison attacked Ranjit leaving him seriously injured.
On hearing his cry for help the locals reached the spot to rescue him and rushed him to the Madarihat Hospital, from where he was referred to Alipurduar District Hospital. Meanwhile, the residents of the area are in fright due to the attack of bison in the area.
