Rajganj, 06th April: An assistant driver of a truck was severely injured after coming in contact with a high tension wire in Jiaganj More of Fulbari-02 Gram panchayat in Rajganj, on Tuesday.
According to local sources, a transport truck full of pigs entered a pig farm situated at Jiaganj More. When the assistant driver climbed over the roof of the truck, he came in contact with an 11 thousand volts power line passing over the farm.
Reportedly, the locals recovered the youth in critical condition and took him to the hospital. Meanwhile, the truck driver escaped the scene. New Jalpaiguri Police has started an investigation.
