Siliguri, 20th September: A body of a person hanging from the noose has been recovered from the Teesta Barrage housing complex adjacent to Tinbatti area in Siliguri. The deceased has been identified as Kartik Sarkar, a resident of Jyotirmoy Colony in Ward No. 32.
Reportedly, he had been working for a long time as a temporary electricity department employee in the Teesta barrage. When other employees came to work this morning, they found his body hanging from the noose.
On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Police have started an investigation of the whole matter.
