Naxalbari, 07th June: In a tragic incident, a person lost his life after falling into a well. The incident surfaced from the Fagu line of Naxalbari tea estate under the Naxalbari block on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Tarsu Oraon.
According to reports, Tarsu slipped and fell into the well while fetching water. Upon hearing his screams, the family members and locals rushed for help. Subsequently, Tarsu was rescued and taken to Naxalbari Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Meanwhile, upon receiving the news, the police of Naxalbari Police Station reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
In this regard, Asha Oraon, wife of the deceased, stated that her husband was ill.
