Siliguri, 08th November: In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife with a sharp weapon, on Sunday evening. The incident surfaced from the Bashbari area of Thakurnagar near Siliguri.
According to local sources, Sujoy Dey returned home last evening heavily drunk and attacked his wife Lakshmi Dey. When she ran out of the house to save herself, Sujoy followed her and allegedly stabbed her to death.
After the incident, the locals captured the accused and called the police. Upon receiving the information, the NJP police reached the spot and arrested Sujoy.
On the other hand, the body was recovered and sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for autopsy. Police are investigating the whole incident.
